HIPPOtrip

This week we took an amphibious sightseeing tour of Lisbon.

It is true that everything included on the trip we have seen many times before but it was fun to see/hear it from a different perspective.

Lisbon's very own Golden Gate Bridge (25th of April) and Cristus statue across the Tagus River - but just a bit smaller than the one in Rio.

Praça do Comercio
(Commerce Square)
Built on the site of the Royal Palace before being destroyed by the Great Earthquake of 1755.

Santa Justa Lift

Beautiful streets and sidewalks

Jerónimos Monastery

Monument to the Discoveries
Leading the ship is Prince Henry the Navigator and behind him are many other great Portuguese discoverers.

Tower of Bélem
It initially served as a defense tower to protect Lisbon.

The cute sight-seers.

Don and Larry checking out the paddle.

And, yes, we really did enjoy our..."90 minutes of fun, laughter, and adventure"...just like the brochure said we would!
